In the Sundays leading up to Christmas, we will consider how to expand our generosity beyond just a seasonal anomaly. To do this, we will use the image of a ladder. We don’t need a ladder to increase our greed. Greed occurs at eye level. The next item is right in front of us. But generosity is a stretch beyond our natural reach. We can’t jump to it. Generosity is more like a ladder. And like any ladder, the generosity ladder has rungs. Each rung is a step up from the previous rung. Each is within our reach. Join us this Sunday as we look at the ground of generosity.
