SST Thanksgiving 2020 - Family Activity:
Set out papers, markers, crayons and other art supplies. Have everyone think of people in their lives to whom they can send a thank you note – grandparents, friends, teachers, coaches, pastors, etc. Let everyone write and decorate as many thank you notes as they would like. Encourage them to tell the person exactly why they are thanking them – for their patience, for their encouragement, for something they did for them, etc. Then either deliver the notes in person or mail them.
Say: Thanksgiving is a great time to thank people in our lives for who they are and what they’ve done for us. Let’s remember to be thankful all year around and not get caught up in complaining when things don’t go the way we want them to. And let’s remember to be thankful to God for all he has done for us, especially for sending us Jesus to be our Lord and Savior!
