We dropped off 333 boxes at a regional hub for Operation Christmas Child. That's 100 more boxes than last year! Out of the 333 boxes, the junior high and high schoolers packed 72 boxes! We received tremendous support from the Seabreeze community, and we know that both those who gave to support this mission and those who will receive the boxes will be blessed.
Our prayer is that many more people around the world will come to Christ through these 333 opportunities. Each child who receives a box will be invited to participate in the Greatest Journey. This Bible Study helps the children know about Jesus Christ and it brings the Good News to them and their families.
During our four Sundays at the Operation Christmas Child table, we heard so much positive feedback and enthusiasm from everyone participating: "So glad we are doing this!" "Our kids had so much fun picking out things for another child their age." "We love Samaritan's Purse and are grateful to be a part of this." We saw so much joy as each person brought back their filled boxes!
It demonstrates the strength of our community working together to accomplish greater things. I am reminded of Ecclesiastes 4: 9-12. "Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken." We have the opportunity to bless others as we team together and are generous.
It was a blessing to be a part of this effort. Thank you all for the support.
Blessings,
